Private Mentoring for Women

We All Have a Few Stories

Perhaps you are like me in that you have high expectations of yourself, you are ambitious, driven and eager to learn. You want to be the very best version of yourself. You have dreams for your future.

How would it feel to have a female mentor by your side for guidance and support?

How would things be different, if you felt seen and heard, and were able to safely share your thoughts, beliefs and concerns with someone who genuinely cares about seeing you thrive?

When I was 25, I manifested an amazing first job.

Mental health issues and narcissism plagued my core family. As someone who is highly sensitive and empathetic, I was profoundly affected by this toxicity. I knew in my heart that I needed to remove myself from this harmful environment. I was aware of an inner guidance that nudged me in a new direction and to a different life.

I decided to follow my inner whispers and look for a job in France. After careful research at the French Consulate, I selected 30 companies that met the criteria of what I was looking for. I wanted to work for an industrial and globally present company. My hope was that my business education, extensive knowledge of languages and various international internships would be appealing.

I knew it was a very long shot, but what did I have to lose? I sent off 30 open applications.

I heard back from most of the companies; I was invited to several job interviews and had three job offers. I accepted the most exciting one from the company that also covered all my moving costs to France. I became Assistant Product Manager at a major specialty steel producer in France. Wow.

This experience empowered me for life. It showed me what courage can do for you and to always aim high. I learnt that it was so worth reaching for my dreams.

How can finding courage change your life?
What dreams do you have that require you to connect with
your courage?

I loved my job and did really well. There were also many moments of overwhelm and high stress. I was on a steep learning curve, in a foreign business environment and new company culture. A lot was expected of me and I had very high expectations of myself.  At times this felt unmanageable causing major stress and anxiety.

As someone sensitive, intuitive and empathetic, I felt the expectations so deeply. This was something I needed to understand about myself and learn to manage in a healthy way.

Due to my upbringing, I held an unconscious belief that asking for help meant that I was not good enough. So I never did.

It is very empowering when you cope and find solutions by yourself. I learnt so much, but the stress and anxiety I experienced affected my physical and mental health.

I often wished I had more emotional support and guidance, especially, during this time in my life. Over time, as I became more self-aware and grew as a person I learnt to manage this limited belief, and if it shows up, giving myself a big dose of self-compassion goes a long way.

These are my stories. Yours will be different. What does support look like to you?

In private mentoring it is all about you and your journey. I am here to lovingly support you in every way I can.
